ROOTED IN TRADITION, FOCUSED ON QUALITY
The legacy of Sneed-Pool Cattle Co., Inc. began in the early 1900s with J.T. Sneed, Sr. and J.T. Sneed, Jr. as “dealers exclusively in steer cattle,” establishing a foundation of excellence in livestock. In 1928, J.T. Sneed, Jr. made a significant investment in the future of the herd by purchasing registered Herefords, setting the stage for decades of high-quality, purebred Hereford cattle.
Over the years, that foundation has evolved, but the commitment to quality remains unchanged. Today, we raise a strong Hereford base herd and strategically cross some of those cows with Angus bulls, producing the highly sought-after Black Baldy—known for its exceptional hybrid vigor, maternal instincts, and beef quality. Others are bred back to Hereford bulls to maintain the legacy and consistency of the original bloodlines.
This breeding program has proven to be a perfect fit for our operation and goals. We are especially proud of our All-Natural beef program, which reflects our dedication to responsible ranching practices, animal welfare, and delivering premium beef that families can trust.
